Dr. Anderson believes in providing his patients with the most relaxing atmosphere as possible in order to ensure their dental appointment is a comfortable and positive experience. The décor of the office is warm and soothing while aromatherapy candles burn throughout to create a spa like setting. During treatment, our patients are offered a selection of dvd’s from our in-house library or they can listen to music on a personal cd player or soon to be added mp3 players. Some of our patients prefer to watch the satellite television which can be seen throughout the office and treatment rooms on flat panel monitors. Managing Medication Delivery

Controlled Comfort.

The WAND lets us administer medication injections with little or no discomfort to our patients, since the flow and volume of anesthetic are delivered slowly, below the pain threshold. The system even places a drop of anesthetic at the site of injection, prior to needle insertion, preparing an anesthetic pathway. cont

Dr. Anderson offers several types of sedation for his patients - nitrous oxide, conscious sedation or intravenous sedation.  Nitrous oxide involves placing a mask over the patient's nose so that they may breath in the nitrous oxide. The patient feels relaxed, but is still able to converse with Dr. Anderson and may return to normal activities immediately after the dental treatment. cont.

Rapid Recovery

Another benefit we can offer our patients by using the WAND, is that we now need only numb the actual teeth we're treating, rather than the entire lips or face. This means that we can eliminate residual numbness, drooping lips, and the resulting difficulties of resuming normal activities. This rapid recovery allows you to schedule dental procedures without canceling the rest of your day's responsibilities. cont.| back

Dental bonding corrects many different cosmetic imperfections such as stains, chipped teeth, gaps, shape and/or size. The color of the composite material is custom matched by Dr. Anderson in order to achieve the most natural result. Some patients choose to utilize one of the different whitening procedures we offer prior to bonding in order to achieve a specific tooth shade. Composite bonding takes one office visit.

Dental implants are a scientifically based, proven method for permanent tooth replacement. In fact, dental implants are now the standard of care for missing teeth. Dental implants are made of pure titanium. Once they are placed inside the jawbone they bond naturally with the bone to provide support that is often stronger than the original tooth root. Dental implants are fixed, just like real teeth, and are non-removable except by a dentist. Because they remain firmly in place, you can smile, laugh, speak and eat with confidence. Conscious sedation is a deeper type of sedation involving an oral sedative that is taken in our office one hour prior to treatment. Nitrous oxide is also administered while the patient is being treated. This type of sedation is amnestic, meaning that you will not remember most of the procedure. Intravenous sedation is the deepest type of sedation that we offer in our office and is administered to the patient by intravenous delivery. This type of sedation is delivered by an anesthesiologist in our office. back

Composite fillings (or tooth colored fillings) are the treatment of choice for small areas of decay. Unlike, silver fillings or amalgam restorations, composite fillings are bonded to the tooth and create a stronger more aesthetic restoration.

These tooth colored resin fillings have advanced to state-the-art status as the material of choice for small cavities or to replace small existing silver/mercury fillings. They are not a permanent solution, lasting usually 5 to 10 years. They are beautiful, durable, and take only one visit to place.
